Kouros

You can visit Portara, the main landmark of Naxos, which is a giant entrance and the only remnant of an ancient temple dedicated to Apollo found on the island of "Palatia". You should take advantage of convenience and visit the Venetian Castle, in Naxos Town. It remains intact from the years of Venetian empire (1207 - 1564) and is an important part of Naxos’ history. There are more than 40 small villages on the island you can visit, each carrying its own history and traditions.
